James, who is a law enforcement Police Officer, has heard the endless jokes about police officers and donuts and the reality is that an officers work schedule makes it difficult to eat healthy. Firefighters, Military and Medical personnel all face this struggle. In our lines of work we often eat fast food because it is quick and convenient.
In addition, we often drink coffee or other caffeinated drinks to stay awake on long shifts. We are also faced with the struggles of life beyond the badge, flag and the scrubs, which leaves us with little time to spare to consume nutritious meals, therefore contributing to weight gain.
